Most families have a medical history of food allergies. With this kind of lineage, children are most likely to develop their own allergies from birth or as they grow up.

The free amino acid-based milks do not contain any protein chains; rather, it contains basic amino acids as its main source of nutrition.

The difference between the partially hydrolyzed and the extensively hydrolyzed formulas are the length of their protein chains.

However, they both have broken down the regular chain in to smaller proportions for easier and more efficient digestion and absorption.

As hypoallergenic infant formula is needed by infants and in certain cases, older children, these are quite costly.

Apart from that, it is not a common sight in grocery stores and in most cases, parents are not aware of its existence. Pediatricians would be able to properly guide parents on what to use and how to use it.

Most children respond well to this kind of milk and in turn are able to overcome their allergies as they grow up.
